Transshipment

Reloading or relay of cargo from one type of transport to another or between transportation vehicles plays an important role in shipping goods. More often than not, transshipment is effected in intermodal railway and water shipment at special port-based railway stations where cargoes are loaded to railway cars from vessels or warehouses or to vessels or warehouses or unloaded from vessels and railway cars to warehouses. Very often this operation involves re-weighing and, if required, accumulation of small shipments. All transshipment operations also involve execution of cargo transfer documents (transfer invoices). RhinoTrans offers services related to arrangement of transshipment operations and reliable monitoring of movement of goods in ports and railway stations.
